Thanks for stopping by and checking out our new digs. We figured after five years of concentrating on the music, it was time to stop relying on MySpace for our website. Yes, yes, the rest of the world decided long ago to stop relying on MySpace. Like I said, we've been concentrating on the music, and maybe not paying enough attention to other things.

Speaking of five years, yes it's been FIVE YEARS since we started this little experiment. Five years ago a bunch of dancers, and music aficionados got together and decided to create a source for good blues, and swing music, that was available to everyone. Music that encompassed both modern artists, and groups as well as the original trendsetters that created the music we love today. My good friend Mike Gill coined the name "Big Blue Swing" at one of the first brainstorming meetings we had.

Here's a few notable items over the past five years:

Started web-casting on: April 26th, 2006, 5:30am
First song: "It don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing" (really, what else could we kick off with)
Duke Ellington, straight off of the "Swing Kids" soundtrack!

We have/had a presence in Second Life. Look for the Pirate Bay Cafe.
Early on, one of the largest sources of listeners came from the "To Catch A Thief" fan site.
